Silver Alert canceled after missing Mesa woman with Alzheimer’s found safe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert for a missing 79-year-old Mesa woman was canceled Monday night after she was found safe, authorities said.

Patricia Stephens was located in Apache Junction and reunited with her family, according to the Mesa Police Department.

When the Silver Alert was issued earlier Monday, she’d last been seen at 12:30 p.m. leaving her home in the area of Power and McKellips roads.

Stephens, who has Alzheimer’s, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has brown bleached hair with red highlights and was wearing an orange shirt, shorts and white shoes when last seen.
