PHOENIX – The crayon-themed Crayola Experience in Chandler is closing for good next month after providing six years of family-friendly entertainment.

June 15 will be the last day for the attraction, which opened at Chandler Fashion Center in 2019.

The 20,000-square-foot venue, which features more than 15 hands-on activities, will operate as usual from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily until it shuts down.

Why is Crayola Experience in Chandler closing?

The Arizona version is smaller than the four other Crayola Experience locations in Florida, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Texas.

“A careful analysis of current performance, challenging economic climate and future strategic fit determined that this smaller format business model was not sustainable,” Crayola told ABC15 in a statement last week.

Anybody with questions about tickets or annual passes they purchased can contact the venue at ChandlerExperience@CrayolaExperience.com.
