PHOENIX – A teenager was hospitalized after a late-night motorcycle crash on a mountain bike trail in north Phoenix on Monday, authorities said.
A rescue team responded to the crash scene on a Cave Buttes Recreation Area trail near the Cave Creek Dam around 11:30 p.m., according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
The rescuers disentangled the 16-year-old rider from the motorcycle wreckage and used a wheeled stretcher to carry him to a waiting ambulance.
The patient was taken to a hospital with a lower extremity injury and was listed in serious but stable condition.
No other details were made available.
