Police seeking public’s help in solving stabbing death near downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man was found dead from a stabbing in downtown Phoenix earlier this week, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect.

Officers responded to an apartment complex near 12th Avenue and Van Buren Street to investigate a death at about 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, police located the victim, 50-year-old Eric Hubert, outside his apartment “suffering from a sharp force injury,” according to a Friday press release.

No other details about the incident were immediately available.

Police are requesting any video surveillance in addition to information be sent in. Information leading to an arrest would be rewarded.
