Arizona woman arrested on charges related to child exploitation

A Navajo County woman was arrested on charges related to child exploitation, authorities announced on Friday.

PHOENIX — A Navajo County woman was arrested on charges related to child exploitation, authorities announced on Friday.

Hailee Hernandez, 29, of Overgaard was arrested on Monday for allegedly possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material, according to the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office.

The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office worked with the FBI to identify Hernandez as a suspect. Investigators then seized digital evidence in the case during a search warrant and arrested Hernandez.

“This arrest underscores our strong commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community,” Navajo County Sheriff David Clouse said in a press release. “We are grateful for the continued collaboration with our federal partners in ensuring these serious crimes are fully investigated and prosecuted.”

Hernandez is facing two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor (distributing) and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor (possessing). She is being held on a $250,000 secured bond.
