8 people injured following collision in Phoenix involving city bus

Eight people were injured following a multi-vehicle collision involving a city bus on Wednesday, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Eight people were injured following a multi-vehicle collision involving a city bus on Wednesday, authorities said.

Around 3 p.m., police responded to a crash near 31st Avenue and Cactus Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Upon arrival, police found two vehicles involved in the crash, including a city bus.

Authorities said the bus driver and six other occupants had minor injuries from the crash but were not taken to the hospital.

The other driver, an adult male, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash, authorities said. No other details were made available.
