Buckeye city manager resigns amid police investigation

Buckeye City Manager Dan Cotterman resigned from his position on Tuesday amid an investigation by the Glendale Police Department, the city of Buckeye announced in a news release.

PHOENIX — Buckeye City Manager Dan Cotterman resigned from his position on Tuesday amid an investigation by the Glendale Police Department, the city of Buckeye announced in a news release.

The Arizona Department of Child Safety contacted the Buckeye Police Department about allegations against Cotterman on March 18.

Cotterman has not been arrested or charged with a crime at this time.

Buckeye police requested Glendale police assume the case to ensure a fair and impartial outcome, the release stated.

Cotterman was placed on administrative leave on March 21. David Roderique was named the interim city manager the same day.

The city of Buckeye is cooperating with the Glendale Police Department’s investigation, according to the release.
