West Phoenix shooting leaves 1 man dead

PHOENIX — A shooting on Tuesday morning left one man dead in west Phoenix, authorities said.

Officers received a call regarding a fight that broke out and the sound of gunfire, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The shooting happened at approximately 6 a.m., near the area of 22nd Avenue and Camelback Road.

When officers arrived on scene they found 31-year-old A Trevon Brown suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, but later died from his injuries, according to police.

Homicide detectives arrived on scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.
