Arizona chef to compete in Food Network’s Chopped TV Show this week

PHOENIX — A local Arizona chef and partner of Humble Pie and Humble Bistro will compete on a Food Network show this week.

On Tuesday’s, chef Jorge Gomez, who is originally from Hermosillo, Mexico, will compete in the television game show series, according to a press release.

The competition will air at 6 p.m. on “Chopped.”

The show is based on four contestants who serve up their best dishes in rounds, while mixing in mystery ingredients into each dish — all within 30 minutes.

The professional chefs compete to become the crowned Chopped champion and for a $10,000 prize.

In previous years, Gomez has competed on Food Network’s Guys Grocery Games and The Ultimate Summer Cook-Off.

Humble Pie is located in Happy Valley, while customers can also visit the Humble Bistro in Gilbert and north Phoenix.
