Buckeye Police boost reward to $12,000 for tips in fatal hit-and-run of 16-year-old girl

Authorities have upped the reward for tips in the fatal hit-and-run of a 16-year-old girl more than two years ago in Buckeye.

PHOENIX — The Buckeye Police Department and Silent Witness have upped the reward for tips in the fatal hit-and-run of a 16-year-old girl more than two years ago.

Anaiah Walker was found dead on the Interstate 10 median near Watson Road on May 22, 2020.

An investigation led police to believe Walker was hit by a 2016-2018 midnight burgundy pearl-colored Honda Civic LX or LE.

Authorities initially offered a $10,000 reward for information in Walker’s case.

The total was upped to $12,000 in hopes of leading to the arrest of the driver of the vehicle.
