Immersive Nutcracker coming to Scottsdale for holiday season

PHOENIX — A twist on a holiday classic is coming to the Valley through an immersive family-friendly experience.

The “Immersive Nutcracker, A Winter Miracle” is set to debut at the Lighthouse ArtSpace in Scottsdale on Nov. 19.

As visitors are immersed in approximately 500,000 cubic feet of animation, songs included in the exhibit are “The Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairy” and “The March of The Toys.”

The 30-minute experience is set to run on various days and times through Dec. 31.

General admission tickets running for $30 can be purchased online.

“Like so many others, I have grown up with the tradition of enjoying the Nutcracker story,” Producer Svetlana Dvoretsky said in the release. “This production does not replace any of those classics, but it provides a family-friendly experience that pays homage to the story’s ballet roots.”

Lighthouse Immersive was founded in 2019 by Toronto-based producers and developers.

Since its inception, the Valley has seen various immersive exhibits featuring subjects such as Monet, King Tut and Van Gogh.
