Silver Alert canceled after 15-year-old Phoenix boy with autism found safe

PHOENIX – A Silver Alert for a 15-year-old Phoenix boy with autism was canceled Friday afternoon after he was safely located, authorities said.

Michael Gallegos was returned to his home after he was found in good health, the Phoenix Police Department said.

He’d been reported missing after he left his residence near Seventh and Southern avenues on foot Friday morning.

Michael doesn’t know phone numbers or addresses and his family was worried he wouldn’t know how to find his way back, according to the alert.

He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 286 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and black Puma shoes with no laces when he went missing.
