Teen hospitalized, dog dead after drive-by shooting in Phoenix

A teen was injured and hospitalized after a drive-by shooting in Phoenix on Wednesday, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A teenage boy was injured and hospitalized after a drive-by shooting in Phoenix on Wednesday, authorities said.

The Phoenix Police Department said in an email the teen, who was shot around 3:30 a.m. near 48th Street and Broadway Road, suffered injuries that weren’t life-threatening.

Multiple gunshots were fired into a house, striking the teen and a dog, police said.

Authorities said the teen has since been released from the hospital, and the dog died from its injuries.

No additional information was immediately made available.
