PHOENIX — While many gear up and prepare for this October’s 41st annual Phoenix Pride Festival, the organization announced Thursday the upcoming event’s headliners.

At this year’s festival, which will be located at Steele Indian School Park near Central Avenue and Indian School Road from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 15-16, three main stage headliners are set to perform, according to a press release.

Attendees will get the chance to see singer-songwriter and “The Four” finalist VINCINT at 7 p.m. on Oct. 15, followed by pop singer Gayle at 8 p.m.

Vocal powerhouse act En Vogue will close out the festival on Oct. 16 at 8 p.m.

Exclusive entertainment for the festival’s VIP experience includes drag legend Sherry Vine, who’ll appear throughout the weekend to host the VIP experience, renown Elton John tribute performer Sir Elton on Saturday and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” veteran Kimora Blac on Sunday.

Included in the VIP area is an air-conditioned tented lounge, up-close viewing sections at the Festival Main Stage and food, the release said.

“This is the most exciting time of the year for us, as we switch into full gear for our signature annual event, the Phoenix Pride Festival, this year marking its 41st anniversary in the Valley,” Mike Fornelli, executive director of Phoenix Pride, said in the release.

“It has been a trying year for our community in Arizona, with renewed fights under way to protect the members of our community, so the opportunity to come back together as a community is more important than ever.”

The theme for Arizona’s largest annual community LGBTQ+ event this year — which expects to see 50,000 people between both days — is “Be you! Believe in Yourself!”

Tickets for the family-friendly main event can be purchased online, while the VIP experience is available to purchase for those 18 and older.

During the weekend of the festival, the 41st annual Phoenix Pride Parade will also take place.

Visitors can attend the parade that begins at 10 a.m. on Oct. 16 near Thomas Road and Third Street.

We want to hear from you.
