PHOENIX — Police in Phoenix are investigating a shooting that left two juveniles injured Thursday night, authorities said.

The shooting occurred near Broadway Road and 28th Street around 7 p.m., the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

Officers found a boy and girl with gunshot wounds, police said. Both were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police initially reported that both victims were teenagers but later said one was a teen and the other a preteen.
