PHOENIX — The Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival will make its return next month following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The free event takes place April 9 at the Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater (10300 S. Estrella Pkwy.) from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
A wide array of genres will be covered in the festival that highlights local talent, including funk-soul, folk, country rock, alternative rock and pop, the city said in a press release.
Artists signed up for the 8th annual event are Marble Heart, Swainn, The Sugar Thieves, Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra and Wade Cota.
The festival will close with a 10-minute firework show.
In addition to the music, attendees can enjoy a kids zone, food trucks, local business booths and a beer and wine garden, the city said.
People are encouraged to bring blankets, towels and lawn chairs to sit on.
A full schedule and a lineup of food trucks set to be in attendance can be found on the city’s website.
