PHOENIX — Just about two years after Pearl Jam was supposed to play in Glendale as part of its North America tour, the Seattle-based band is returning to the West Valley city.

Pearl Jam will play at Gila River Arena on May 9, the band announced Monday.

Its original show at the Glendale arena was scheduled for April 2020, but was postponed due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
