Loop 202 closures in Chandler to hinder Valley drivers this weekend

PHOENIX — Both sides of the Loop 202 in Chandler will be closed on varying days this weekend for traffic sensor installation.
The eastbound lanes of the highway will be closed between Interstate 10 and the Loop 101 Price Freeway from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, the Arizona Department of Transportation said in a press release.
All I-10 ramps to eastbound Loop 101 are also set to be closed.
The westbound lanes of the highway will then be closed between the Loop 101 Price Freeway and I-10 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

The southbound Loop 101 ramp to westbound Loop 202, and the westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Alma School Road are also set to be closed.
In northeast Phoenix, the northbound State Route 51 ramp to eastbound Loop 101 will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Monday for work zone setup.
The northbound State Route 51 ramp to eastbound Loop 101 will continue to be narrowed to one lane for approximately two weeks for drainage system construction, ADOT said.
