PHOENIX — Fresh off his Super Bowl halftime appearance, Snoop Dogg announced Monday he’s coming to the Valley later this year.
Snoop Dogg, along with fellow rappers Ice Cube and Warren G, will perform at Gila River Arena in Glendale on May 18 at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available for the general public online starting Thursday at 10 a.m.
It’s Snoop Dogg’s first concert in the Valley since December of 2019 when he performed at the Van Buren.
Snoop Dogg took the stage during halftime of the Super Bowl on Sunday in Los Angeles alongside Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and Eminem.
He has been nominated for 16 Grammys, being considered for album of the year and best rap song multiple times.
The rapper also had three songs reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Drop It Like It’s Hot” which held the top spot for three weeks.
The concert makes Ice Cube’s first performance in the Valley in more than two decades, his last coming in 2000 at America West Arena, known now as Footprint Center.
He has been in the music industry for more than 30 years with songs like “It Was A Good Day” and “You Know How We Do It,” in addition to starring in various television shows and movies.
Warren G, who has also been rapping for decades, last made a stop in the Valley in December of 2019 at the Van Buren with Snoop Dogg.
He has received two Grammys nominations during his career, one being for best rap solo performance.
