Father kills 2 daughters, himself at West Valley residence

PHOENIX – A West Valley father fatally shot his two daughters before killing himself last week, authorities said.

Officers found three dead bodies after being called for a welfare check at a home near Cactus and Dysart roads around 2 p.m. on Feb. 4, the El Mirage Police Department said in a press release Thursday.

Investigators determined that the father, 41-year-old Steven Foster, shot himself after killing the girls, who were 16 and 9 years old.

No other details were released.
