Silver Alert canceled after 80-year-old man last seen in Phoenix found safe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Thursday after an 80-year-old man with a medical condition who left his home with a female companion was found safe, authorities said.

James Lange was contacted by detectives and was determined to be in a safe location, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

A Silver Alert was issued Wednesday evening after he was last seen at his home near Warner Elliot Loop and Sequoia Trail before leaving in a black 2018 Jeep Cherokee.

Authorities said Lange suffers from a medical condition that may cause him to become confused and easily lost.
