After black burger, Burger King set to debut red burger in Japan

Whatever happened to a good old-fashioned hamburger?

On Wednesday, Burger King announced it would release its red burger in Japan on July 3. The chain’s last off-colored offering, the black burger, took the Internet by storm.

The Wall Street Journal reported the red burgers are colored using tomato powder. The buns will be paired with red cheese and a spicy red sauce.

The chain will continue to sell the black burger, which is colored using squid ink and bamboo charcoal.
