FunBox, billed as world’s biggest bounce park, debuts Friday in Chandler

FunBox, a larger-than-life bounce park, is making a stop in the Valley and opening this weekend at Chandler Fashion Center.

PHOENIX — FunBox, a larger-than-life bounce park, is making a stop in the Valley and opening this weekend at Chandler Fashion Center.

Billed as the world’s biggest bounce park, the attraction features 25,000 square feet of continuous jumping zones connecting 10 different play areas.

Located on the west side of the mall between the Nordstrom and the closed Sears store, the limited-time attraction gets underway on Friday and is open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. The attraction is closed Mondays through Thursdays.

Features of the park include a dodgeball court, battle beam, sumo challenge, ninja challenge, obstacle course, a 23-foot slide, ice chambers, basketball, ring toss, Wipeout-inspired games, a giant maze and a toddler park, according to a press release.

During opening weekend, 5,000 tickets to FunBox will be available for only $1. The rest of the sales made during opening weekend will be donations-based with all proceeds going to Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation to support the nonprofit’s work with foster youth in the state. The company will also match the final total donated at the end of the weekend.

General admission tickets for the attraction cost $26 for a two-hour jump time, with everyone over the age of 2 needing a ticket. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

It is advised to purchase tickets online in advance to ensure entry but tickets are sold at the door, according to the official website.

FunBox also has a permanent park in Arcadia, California, and another temporary attraction in Woodland Hills, California.
