PHOENIX — Cox Communications, Arizona’s largest cable company, and CenturyLink have seen their customer satisfaction scores drop, according to an annual survey from the American Customer Satisfaction Index.

The Phoenix Business Journal reported more people using broadband to play video games and watch movies are contributing factors to the decrease, as it has affected most cable television and Internet service providers negatively.

Cox saw its satisfaction fall from 64 last year to a lowly 58 this year while CenturyLink’s was trimmed from a 65 to a 60.

Cox officials said that these scores do not shock them because their services are affecting more customers’ lives.

The only cable companies with improved satisfaction scores were Verizon and Charter Communications. The ISPs that rose include AT&T and Time Warner.
