PHOENIX — Boo & New, a weeklong event at Scottsdale Quarter to celebrate both the fall and the completion of the shopping center’s final section, will take place in October.

The festivities run from Oct. 18-23, according to a press release.

“Fall is a time to celebrate the changing season and it’s the perfect time to commemorate the newest and final section of The Quarter,” Richard Hunt, general manager at Scottsdale Quarter, said in the release.

Boo and New events are free to attend. The daily schedule is listed online.

Each day, attendees can visit a pumpkin patch and listen to live bands.

On Friday and Saturday, there will be live mural painting, pumpkin carving, local beer tasting at Culinary Dropout, a photography class, food vendors and several others events.

The festivities conclude with the fourth annual Boo & Brew event with craft beers from Huss, Walter Station and Grand Canyon breweries. Guests can bring their dogs to participate in a costume contest.

Rock Lobster will be the closing musical act.
