Phoenix police are looking for a suspect following a fatal hit-and-run that occurred at 16th Street and Broadway Road just before 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are looking for a suspect following a fatal hit-and-run collision on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred at 16th Street and Broadway Road just before 8:30 p.m.

Authorities said preliminary information indicates a woman was crossing the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle traveling on Broadway Road.

The victim, identified Thursday as 63-year-old Pamela Desoto, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle was described as a dark-colored car, according to authorities.
