PHOENIX — A 21-year-old Glendale man was arrested after he purchased plane tickets and took a 15-year-old girl to Iowa without the family’s permission, authorities said Thursday.

Kadin Alexander Daniel was charged with custodial interference after the girl was recovered by authorities in Iowa on May 20.

Earlier that day, the girl’s family reported her missing and said she had possibly run away from home, Glendale police said.

Daniel and the child were thought to have been communicating with each other through social media.
