More patients flocking to ER under Obamacare

Since the Affordable Care Act took effect in January, hospital emergency rooms have been seeing a common trend.
Norton Hospital in Kentucky, for example, has seen the number of emergency room patients increase by over 100 a month or 12 percent, according to The Courier-Journal
The spike in patients is making emergency rooms seem more like exam rooms, since most of the patients aren’t facing true emergencies.
Obamacare was supposed to provide low-income patients better access to primary care and reduce pressure on emergency rooms by expanding Medicaid.
However, hospitals across the nation are seeing a significant leap of newly insured patients walking into their emergency rooms.
