Weddings generally take months, if not years, to plan.
But according to Fox News, one Connecticut couple planned and pulled off a wedding in 24 hours after finding out the bride’s mother was dying of cancer.
Aly Femia had originally planned to wed her fiancé, Anthony, in September 2015. But when her mother, Mary Quinn, was diagnosed with incurable lung cancer that had spread to her brain, she decided to change her plans.
Femia’s father passed away 16 years ago and she wanted her mother there. When she found out how bad her condition was, she and Anthony decided to tie the know immediately.
Within 24 hours, she had a wedding dress and marriage license and the couple wed in the hospital.
