‘Wonder pill’ to authenticate you from inside your stomach

You can ditch your passwords now, a new pill promises to do all that memory work from inside your stomach.

The Daily Mail reports that a pill will be the be-all, end-all solution for people who constantly forget their passwords and lose time in the authentication process.

The pill has already been approved the U.S. Food and Drugs Administration as well as European regulators.

Based on a technology developed by California-based Proteus Digital Health, it contains a computer chip and a switch, which is activated when it comes in contact with acid in the user’s body.

Does this sound a bit far-fetched? Regina Dugan, a Motorola company executive doesn’t seem to think and so, and in fact, backs up the idea of using the pill.

‘Essentially, your entire body becomes your authentication token,’ she said.
