Boy charged with murder after WWE-style wrestling

A 13-year-old boy was has been charged with second-degree murder of his five-year-old half-sister after imitating WWE-style wrestling.

According to The Guardian, the boy was babysitting his half-sister at a home in New Orleans when he started to wrestle with her imitating what he had previously seen on TV.

The moves allegedly included slamming the girl on a bed, punching her in the stomach, jumping on her and striking her with his elbow. A coroner’s investigation found the girl died of multiple internal injuries.

When the girl complained of stomach aches and stopped breathing, the boy called emergency services but they could not revive her.

“The 13-year-old continued by saying the victim complained that she was hurting but he continued to slam, punch and elbow her for an additional two or three minutes, stopping when his mother called him on the phone to check on him and the victim,” sheriff’s officials said.

Authorities have said this was no accidental death, as the boy knew the wrestling on TV was fake.
