According to TODAY, that’s what happened in a suburb of Paris, France, when math teacher Jean-Baptiste Clément told his 11-year-old students that they were about to view their first horror film.

While showing an entertaining movie during class usually goes well, this wasn’t the case for Clément:

One student’s father told The Local that his child came home “visibly in some discomfort.”

The discomfort was felt all the way to the top, when the Federation of Students’s Parents Council not only suspended Clément for a day, but might also be pushing for legal measures against him.
