Ex-Arizona State runner finishes 4th in women’s race at Boston Marathon

Former Arizona State runner Desiree Linden finished fourth in the women’s division at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Linden, 31, who earned All-America track honors at ASU,
led for a good portion of the race. She finished in an unofficial time of 2 hours, 25 minutes and 39 seconds.
She placed second in the 2011 race and represented the U.S. in the 2012 Olympics.

Caroline Rotich of Kenya won the race in an unofficial time of 2:24.55.
Two years ago, explosions rocked the event, killing three and injuring 260.
