16-year-old boy found dead in car with gunshot wound in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A 16-year-old boy was found dead in a car with a gunshot wound in Phoenix on Friday night.

The teenaged victim was found inside a vehicle that collided with a gate near the intersection of 19th and Oregon avenues, police said.

The Phoenix Fire Department declared the victim dead at the scene, authorities said.

No other information was made immediately available.

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
