Here’s how to listen to Gov. Ducey’s 2021 State of the State address

PHOENIX – Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey will deliver his annual State of the State address virtually on Monday due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Ducey will deliver his address from the state Capitol in Phoenix at 2 p.m.

The speech will be broadcast live on KTAR News 92.3 FM, our app or online.

This will be Ducey’s seventh State of the State address.

Traditionally, the governor holds his address in front of a crowd of lawmakers, their guests and state dignitaries on the floor of the House of Representatives.

In previous years, Ducey has utilized his annual address on the first day of the Legislative session to tout successes and lay out his priorities for the upcoming year. He usually highlights the budgets, education, public safety and infrastructure.

Ducey has drawn scrutiny in recent weeks and months for how the state has handled the ongoing pandemic, especially as coronavirus cases and numbers continue to reach new levels.

The governor has shied away from taking additional measures like implementing a statewide mask mandate or implementing another stay-at-home order.
