A Silver Alert was canceled Tuesday for a Tempe man with memory and medical issues, authorities said.

PHOENIX – A Silver Alert was canceled Tuesday for a Tempe man with memory and medical issues, authorities said.
Daniel Lopez, 59, returned home safely, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Lopez had last been seen Monday around 2 p.m. at his home near Rural and Guadalupe roads, Tempe Police said.
Lopez, who suffers from dementia and also has diabetes, left home without his medication, planning to return at 6 p.m.
Lopez is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, heavyset and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan short-sleeve shirt, tan pants and black shoes. He also was carrying a brown backpack when he said he was heading for a nearby thrift store.
Lopez is familiar with the bus system and could be carrying a cellphone.
