Victim identified in Christmas Day shooting in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Phoenix police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Phoenix on Christmas Day.

Authorities said that 18-year-old Tyler Cardiel was shot and killed around 6:30 a.m. on Friday near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road.

Cardiel was found with a gunshot wound on the roadway and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities are searching for a suspect believed to be an adult male with a muscular build who was wearing all dark clothing.
