Silver Alert canceled for 71-year-old man in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Saturday for a 71-year-old man who went missing in Phoenix.

Freddy Ray Chavez had last been seen Thursday at a medical facility near 40th Street and Bell Road.

He was found just before 3 p.m. on Saturday after Mesa police responded to a trespassing call near the intersection of Rural and Broadway Road, according to authorities.

He was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
