Phoenix PD: Man arrested on suspicion of sexual misconduct with a minor

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department arrested a Valley man on charges of sexual misconduct with a minor on Friday.

Tietwen Givens, 43, was arrested around 11:38 a.m. on 10 counts of sexual misconduct with a teenage girl from a behavioral health facility in Phoenix, authorities said in a press release Saturday.

On Thursday, the victim told the staff of the facility in the area of 1800 E. Van Buren Street she had been sexually abused by an employee.

Through further investigation into the crimes, detectives later identified Givens as the suspect.

Givens was taken into custody in the city of Maricopa before being transported to Phoenix for further questioning.

Detectives developed probable cause to believe Givens had engaged in a number of sexual acts with the victim, officials said.

Givens was booked into the Maricopa County Jail and charged with 10 counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
