Disturbed to get down with the sickness in Phoenix this summer

Hard rock band Disturbed has plans to get down with the sickness later this year in Phoenix, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album.

PHOENIX — Grammy-nominated hard rock band Disturbed has plans to get down with the sickness later this year in Phoenix.

The four-piece group will play at Ak-Chin Pavilion on Aug. 30 with fellow rock bands Staind and Bad Wolves.

Presale tickets are available now, while the general public can begin buying Friday at 10 a.m.

The 31-date tour celebrates the 20th anniversary of the group’s first album “The Sickness,” which peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 and has sold over 4 million copies in the U.S.

The single “Down With the Sickness” was certified platinum in the U.S.

Disturbed has since released six more albums, the most recent “Evolution” in 2018.

The band was formed in Chicago in 1994 and went on hiatus in 2011. The guys got back together in 2015.

Their accolades include a nomination for the best hard rock performance Grammy Award in 2009 and another in 2017 for best rock performance.
