Kiss Cams and Dance Cams are staples at nearly every sporting arena, in an attempt to poke some good-natured fun at some unsuspecting folks.
But at the Detroit Pistons-New York Knicks game on Tuesday in Detroit, the State Farm-sponsored Dance Cam evolved from sports fan archetypes — Group of Women, Jumping Kids, Parent with Baby — to all-out war.
Eventually, the Dance Cam came to rest on a short, young boy in a red polo shirt who started to dance. Like, REALLY DANCE.
But one arena usher viewed the smiling little boy as having thrown down the gauntlet, launching into a Robot with Pectoral Muscles, as if to say, “Your move, Young Fellow.”
And boy, does that Young Fellow sure move.
So, who won the dance battle: The usher or the young lad?
Apparently, the Dancing Usher is somewhat of a celebrity at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
