PHOENIX – A sprawling Scottsdale mansion hit the market this week with a massive price tag.
The 14,313-square-foot, multi-level spread was listed Monday for $9.75 million, making it one the largest and most expensive homes to become available in the Phoenix area in recent months.
The regal hillside estate is nestled on 2 acres in the McDowell Mountains, in the upper canyon portion of the exclusive Silverleaf community.
Fantastic views abound, with mountainous landscapes visible from most of the house, which was built in 2007 with five bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a guest casita.
There are luxurious touches throughout, of course, including a wet bar with zinc counters, a formal dining room with a limestone fireplace and a 2,000-square-foot office with reclaimed wood flooring from a French castle.
The master suite contains an exercise room and a sauna, and the kitchen features Clive Christian cabinetry imported from England.
The current owner, according to county records, is Dr. Joel Rainwater, a Valley radiologist who bought the house for $8.5 million in 2016.
