Grand opening of Asante Library in Surprise set for February

PHOENIX — The grand opening of the Asante Library is set to take place in Surprise next month.

The event is scheduled for Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 16755 W. Vereda Solana Dr.

Festivities will include giveaways, ribbon cutting and entertainment and activities for the whole family.

The Asante Library occupies a grand total of 10,000 square feet and will feature amenities such as self-check kiosks, a multipurpose room, public access computers and wireless printing capabilities.

And while it may be the city of Surprise’s third library, Asane Library will be the first to offer study and meeting rooms.

Library card acquisitions are free, but have to be done so in person and require photo identification and proof of Maricopa County residence, property ownership or business ownership.

Asante Library’s hours of operation are:

Monday to Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Thursday to Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
