Double shooting in Peoria leaves 2 with minor injuries

PHOENIX — Authorities are investigating a double shooting that took place in Peoria on Sunday.

Officers had responded to an Honor Health facility near 107th Avenue and Happy Valley Road when one male and one female arrived at an urgent care with minor gunshot injuries from a shotgun.

According to Peoria Fire, one person was shot in the arm and refused transport, while the other was shot in the abdomen and was transported as a precautionary measure.

Authorities are currently investigating what led up to the incident.
