I-17 southbound near Sunset Point reopened after rock slide

PHOENIX — Interstate-17 southbound at milepost 252 near Sunset Point is open again after being closed earlier due to a rock slide, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The highway was closed around 5:30 a.m. and remained shut down for about two hours while crews cleared the scene with heavy machinery.

No other details were immediately available.
