NB I-17 at Camelback reopens after fatal pedestrian crash

PHOENIX — Northbound Interstate-17 has reopened after a fatal accident involving a pedestrian and a commercial vehicle shut down the freeway for part of Friday night.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the northbound lanes of I-17 were shut down after a crash near Camelback Road around 8 p.m. and reopened around 10:30 p.m.

All traffic was being directed to exit at Camelback Road, and re-enter at Bethany Home Road.

The southbound lanes were unaffected.
