PHOENIX – A Valley dog was on the nice list this year.
Two-year-old Monkey was surrendered to a rescue that the Arizona Animal Welfare League works with on Christmas Eve last year. In July, he was transferred to the AAWL, but now he has found a new home for the holidays.
The shelter staff even helped Monkey write a letter to Santa in hopes of finding his new home.
During the shelter’s “Home Fur the Holidays” event, a family adopted Monkey, and his friend Cookie as well.
There were almost 100 cats and dogs that found homes during the weekend’s event.
