Semitruck jackknifes, closes eastbound I-10 in West Valley

PHOENIX — Eastbound Interstate 10 reopened Thursday morning in the West Valley after it was closed due to a jackknifed semitruck.

Photos showed authorities directing traffic to leave the freeway at 91st Avenue in Tolleson at the tail end of rush hour.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said drivers should detour on Loop 101 north to U.S. 60 east.

Traffic was backed up to 107th Avenue.
