Cheddar’s bringing American cuisine to Goodyear, hiring 160 employees

PHOENIX — A national restaurant chain is bringing its American food to the West Valley.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen will host the grand opening of its Goodyear location on Dec. 9, the city announced in a press release.

The 8,000-square-foot restaurant, which will seat 200 patrons, will be located at Estrella Falls at 150th Drive and McDowell Road.

Cheddar’s is expected to hire 160 people to staff the restaurant, and open interviews for all positions began Saturday.

“The company expects this restaurant to be a top producing location,” the city said in the release.

Cheddar’s has two other locations in Arizona — in Chandler and Tucson — and more than 170 locations nationwide in 28 states.

The restaurant prides itself on making all of its food from scratch and is based out of Orlando, Florida.
