Missing 67-year-old Phoenix woman found safe; Silver Alert canceled

PHOENIX — A 67-year-old woman who was reported missing Wednesday from her south Phoenix has been found. The Silver Alert has been canceled.

Maria del Socorro Spring had last been seen on foot near 12th Street and Southern Avenue around 1 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Spring, who gets lost easily and sometimes appears confused, was found by her daughter-in-law near 19th Avenue and Broadway Road around 7 p.m.

She was taken back home where police checked on her a half-hour later.
